Emma Moores, Development and Marketing Officer, was raised near Seattle, Washington, where she grew up playing trombone and piano.  While studying music at the University of Washington, she had the opportunity to play trombone all over the world; she performed with the Husky Marching Band in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Japan, and toured Japan again with the University of Washington Wind Ensemble.  After graduating cum laude from the University of Washington in 2008 with a Bachelor of Music in trombone performance, she moved with her fiancé to Virginia to attend graduate school at George Mason University.  Emma and her fiancé were married in August of 2009 back home in Seattle, after which Emma completed her Master of Arts in Arts Management.
