Lizette Corro is the Chief Executive Officer of Linder & Associates, an events planning company.
Prior to joining Linder & Associates, Lizette was from 2006 – 2010 the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Webster Group, a fundraising, event management, and strategic planning company, where she developed a growth strategy and an environment that substantially increased revenue and staff.
Ms. Corro was the Senior Vice President of Resource Development for America’s Promise – The Alliance for Youth from 2005 – 2006.
From 1999 – 2005, Ms. Corro was the Managing Director of Orr Associates, Inc., a consulting firm that specialized in strategic planning, board development, and foundation management company and where she led highly successful fundraising campaigns and special events for major non-profit organizations on a nation-wide basis.
She was the Director of Catering for the ANA Hotel, now the Fairmont, from 1994 – 1999. From 1984 -1994, she was the President of Corro Nobil Associates, a firm that focused on consulting to the hotel industry on marketing issues, strategic planning, development of action plans to enhance revenue for clients. She also worked from 1973 - 1984 for the Ritz Carlton Hotel, the Four Seasons Hotel, and the Madison Hotel as their Director of Catering.
From 1972 to 1975, Ms. Corro was the Assistant Chief of Protocol at the Inter-American Development Bank.
Ms. Corro holds a BA in from American University’s School of International Service. In 2007, she completed the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility Program at Harvard University’s School of Business. She also is a member of the Class of 2008 of Leadership of Greater Washington.
She is currently a member of the Boards of Directors of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, the Washington Ballet, the Latino Student Fund, and the Youth Orchestra of the Americas. Ms. Corro is a member of the Board of Visitors of the National Children’s Medical Center and a member of the Board of Advisors for the Post-Classical Ensemble.
Ms. Corro has served on the Advisory Boards of Directors of Women of Washington; as President, Vice President, and Secretary of the Les Dames d’Escoffier; and as member of American University’s Arts Advisory Council. She also has been involved with the Smithsonian Folk Life Festival, Care Foundation, Lombardi Cancer Center, Knock Out Abuse Against Women, St. Patrick’s Episcopal Day School, and St. Alban’s School.
She is a member of the Board of Governors of The Georgetown Club and is a member of the Cosmos Club.
