Colombia:
Through an invitation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Colombia, YOA Camerata Orchestra will perform with the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia in Medellín on June 1, 2008. This concert opens the Annual General Assembly of the Organization of American States and celebrates the 60th Anniversary of the signing of the charter of OAS. The concert will follow opening remarks by President Uribe of Colombia and will be led by rising French-Canadian conductor, Jean-Pascal Hamelin.

Following its acclaimed 2006 performance of the Verdi Requiem in Munich with EuropaChorAkademie under the baton of Plácido Domingo, YOA has been invited to perform a High Mass for choir and orchestra at Saint Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican. This will be the first of four programs of the VII Festival Internazionale di Musica e Arte Sacra. The Festival concerts take place in the four main basilicas of Rome (Saint Peter’s, Saint John Lateran, Santa Maria Maggiore, Saint Peter outside the Walls).
