FRANCISCO VELAZQUEZ SALINAS Was born in Veracruz, Mexico in 1985. Inspired by his father musician of the mexican folklore started his studies of the violin at the age of 5 in the Center of Musical Infantile Initiation (CIMI) of the Universidad Veracruzana, one year later he started to play the clarinet in the same school. In 1996 he finished his studies in this school and then continue his studies at the Escuela Municipal de Bellas Artes. Student of Claudia Gpe. Escobedo Sosa, Irene Ortiz, Juan Manuel Jimenez (violin), Enrique Villegas, John Tagg (clarinet). In 1999 he play with the New England Conservatory Youth Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Benjamin Zander in a great concert presented in Veracruz, Mexico. In 2000 he took part in the recording of the CD "Huapango-Danzon" with the Youth Symphony Orchestra "Daniel Ayala". One year later he was convoked to play with the Orquesta Infantil de Mexico (OSIM) offering concerts throughout Mexico, also in this year the town council of Veracruz and the Institution of the Civic Overcoming granted him Honor's Diploma and medal for his achievements in music. He has participated in many national encounters of Youth Orchestras, under conductors like Fernando Lozano, Eduardo Garcia Barrios, Ernesto Rosas, Brian St. John, Christopher Wilkins. He has played with the Youth Orchestra of Ensenada, Youth Orchestra of Veracruz, Youth Orchestra of Campeche, Carlos Chavez Symphony Orchestra. He concluded his studies at the Escuela Municipal de Bellas Artes in 2004. At the present he almost conclude his career in odontology at the Universidad Veracruzana (UV), he's the concertmaster of the Youth Orchestra "Daniel Ayala" and he continues his preparation for enter in a conservatory after he conclude his career. He's member of the YOA since 2005.
